After winning the first 3, they are now 6 and 12 in the last 18 games. How much longer before a manager change?

Exactly, and it's been pointed out that DeTwit and Mo-ran and Oli are being let down by the players! That’s very important to keep in mind.
So the first 3 wins are excluded now ?
Of course it matters .. it shows how you are currently playing….. counting the whole season they still stinkramfandan wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025 10:19 amSo the first 3 wins are excluded now ?
What if your team would go 5-0, and then 5-10 after that .. That would be a 10-10 record Would the argument be the same ? After winning the first 5 , they are now 5-10 the last 15 games .. so how much longer before a manager change ?
I think any discussion on changes must encompass ALL the games .. the wins and losses in total .
If you wish for a manager change after Marmol's 9-12 start for the first 21 games, then make your argument for that .
Agree it’s like when people said if cards had just won the extra inning games or split them the record would be better so what they didn’tramfandan wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025 10:19 amSo the first 3 wins are excluded now ?

When you say how they are 'currently' playing , why then use the OP of the past 18 games of 6-12 The MLB standings shows a column showing how each team has fared the past 10 games. On could argue that is more meaningful than going back 18 games (which excluded the three previous wins ) .Web7 wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025 10:26 amOf course it matters .. it shows how you are currently playing….. counting the whole season they still stinkramfandan wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025 10:19 amSo the first 3 wins are excluded now ?

Which is the low standard the Moron set for the team starting last season. Don’t think the team doesn’t feel it. I’ll be honest I would love to see Skip Schumaker’s intensity in this dugout. I know what his record was at Miami but that franchise saddled him with a worse roster than even this Cardinal one.
Very true ! The Cardinals have scored more runs than they have allowed. Long term if that continues that should reflect better in the W-L column.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025 11:13 amWe have faced some serious pitching. If that changes I expect a bit better results.
One runs games. Last year it was RISP. This year, the one runner. Seems a bit of strategy could plate that run.ramfandan wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025 11:21 amVery true ! Think only a couple teams in all of MLB have scored more than they allowed thus far and are sub .500 The Expected W-L for a +3 99 vs. 96 runs is 11-10 record . The Cards have played in four 1 run games . They are 0-4 in those close games. An oddity is that 3 of the 4 had the same score 4-5 with the other 1-2 game.
Well he's pointing out their trend, not dismissing them.ramfandan wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025 10:19 amSo the first 3 wins are excluded now ?

Oli's teams have no identity. Shildt's teams were always known for fundamentals.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025 11:29 am
