You send Baker down when Winn comes back.
He hasn’t hit for power and is useless in the field.
It’s time to lay it on the line with Gorman.
Get your head out of your (donkey).
You’ll see the pitches better that way!

With Arenado on roster there are only 2B, SS, DH and maybe LF available for Saggese to compete for ABs.

Gorman, Donovan, Winn (maybe back on Tuesday) will compete for for the first 3.
LF is pretty much Nootbaar and Donovan.
Other DH candidates are Baker, Contreras and Burleson.

IMO, Saggese may end up as one of top current cards hitters with Donovan, Herrera, Winn and Nootbaar.
He needs to continue getting ABs even if some are in Memphis.

I would send Gorman down to play every day. Right now with the way he is hitting you can’t play him every day. Saggese is hitting. You have to keep him up. Baker is just a part time player. He’s not a prospect that needs to play every day so he stays. Jmo on what I would do.

I know he is pretty hot right now, but a lot of his hits have been bloopers that have just found the open spot and a few grounders that have just found the open spot. He has stung a few balls which is good, but he has been getting lucky too with a lot of swings.

Think there is decent chance that Gorman may be moved at trade deadline as part of a trade package. Though he would be a minor piece in the deal ,some team may take a shot due to his 2nd year 27 HR output. They may be hoping for a miracle ressurection from him .

Oh, Saggese has been a little lucky. A .545 BABIP tells me that. Nobody does that for long, though his HH ratio is good. And there is this 1 really freaky thing over his 31 PAs to date. His OBP of .419 is lower than his BA of .433. That's because he has drawn 0 walks and has 1 SF.

Saggese's bat makes contact. Might not be hitting the cover off the ball but he puts it in play. Many of the Cards hitters could try to do the same especially when there are runners in scoring position.

Not arguing just wondering.

The point of the thread was to gain a spot for Saggese.
The Cardinals have one deminsonal, low upside players at best in
Siani, Baker, Burleson
Possibly Gorman is that too, I can respect that view.

Of that group who has the highest chance of being more and being on the team 1, or 2, or 3 years from now? Along with Herrera getting RH DH, Contreras gets most 1B.

I think in order who goes down is Baker, Burleson, then Gorman, then Siani.

All seem like good dudes and all. It's Ruthless at times.
But if the season is what they say it is IMO you need to find out what they do at the MLB level. What they do at this point in Memphis is meaningless.

Pozo can also easily be sent out. Plenty of options and only one is needed.

I think the layoff with the injury has affected Gorman's hitting. He needs to go down to Memphis to get his timing and stroke back.. Saggese should stick on the 25 man roster and play. Cards miss Herrera's hot bat. Hope he is back soon.

Yawn... UniKKKorn facing pitching affects his hitting. He can go down, Siani can go down, Bumbles can go down
