Reis stated precautionary.
Let's hope so.

Potentially disastrous as he's been killing it for the past week or so.

Didn’t appear to be anything noticeable there?
Was it a cool night? Who knows?
Minor League results in my opinion mean nothing.
I know....they keep score....standings...and the guys WANT to compete and win...but you are going to be super cautious.
Hopefully that is what it is.

Can never have enough blue chip prospects if the Cardinals do stink this year hopefully they get another stud

I know they're speculating Hammie in the article but looking at the video I wonder if he felt something funny in his shoulder/elbow as that toss to 1st looked a little light to me.

Cardinals org is usually pretty tight-lipped about injuries

from Brian Walton this morning:

JJ Wetherholt, removed from Friday’s game in the first inning, did not appear in either game of Saturday’s twin bill.

It would be nice if one of our intrepid local reporters would ask Mozeliak or someone in Springfield what is going on. It's not like he is just a minor league roster filler.

Also, "just precautionary" doesn't really help much--hamstring tightness, shoulder aches?--could be anything.

I also posted elsewhere that I listened to the S-Cards radio postgame show the night it happened and there literally wasn't one word about it--not even, he was removed in the first inning and we haven't had any updates. Just nada.

yes it would be nice.
but like I said above, the Cards org is notoriously tight-lipped about injuries

He will be announced initially as day to day, then a couple of weeks, then 30 day IL, then 60 day Il, then season ending then career threatening. Isn’t that the typical scenario?

Be that as it may, still have to ask and report the "no comment" if that what occurs. These aren't nuclear secrets.

Illness? He seemed to get off the field pretty quick after he made the throw. Had it been a hammy he wouldn't have ran off the filed

Yeah IMO the fact they are keeping this tight lipped indicates it's a lot more serious.

Yeah, you're right. Jeff Jones just tweeted that he had a stomach bug. Should be back Tuesday.

Wasn't he hamstring injury prone in college?
