I believe this team has decent “physical” talent.
But “mentally” and “fundamentally” they are soft.
Donovan gives them a huge emotional lift and the next three whiff the breeze.
Late games close and the deer in the headlights comes out.
Too bad.

15 strikeouts and zero walks isn't a combination you see very often.

Multiple bad at bats

Wont take a walk and 15 of 27 outs were strikeouts

I’m surprised anyone had higher expectations for this team.

Since the home team has the last at bat, a losing record on the road is an indication that the bullpen is a weakness. Pretty clear that is the problem with the Cardinals. I don't know why GMs don't prioritize bullpen arms. The Cardinals had the payroll flexibility to add some significant arms.

I've said they are a home cooking team.

My question is if you think highly still of Brown After 26 Ks in 2 games. We are starting to get past small sample size and should have a clear picture at game 50-60 as to the truth of this team and players.

Make that 1-8

More telling is their 5-10 record against teams over 500

They can’t beat teams on the road especially good teams 0-6 so far

Defeatist attitude, no fight in team

Defeatist attitude
You could be describing your own.

Here's something that might perk you up. So far they're 4-1 in blowout games, games decided by 5 or more runs. Last year they were 14-26 in blow-outs, which is terrible.
