Nothing against Svanson, I actually like him a lot, but, what does Granillo have to do to get the call. Maybe he's next on the list.

I looked up Granillo after reading your post to find out more about him.
Looks like he’s not on the 40 man which could be the reason?

They are gonna try the 40 man options first before releasing guys to add other to the 40 man roster early.

That would be logical

I've got nothing against Svanson--could be Seth Maness on steroids--but I would also like to see what Granillo could do.

Don’t get the chance to see Memphis play.
So I really appreciate the info some post here on the minors!

I just don't know how they could send down the long reliever, spot starter, 5th starter, ace Roddery Munoz.

[nonsense], Munoz was outstanding in his first appearance. The Cardinals are seeing what they have. You likely don't comprehend. No biggie.

If they are going with 6 starters in the near term then you reduce your BP by one arm to 7:
Locks- Helsley, Marin, Romero, and probably Leahy who has been very good.
Likely- King and Fernandez(although he needs to pick it up or face demotion)
Open- Roycroft(down), Munoz(down), now it’s Svanson.
Sounds like it might be a Memphis shuttle for the near future?
Always lean to optimism but I wonder about the 6 man rotation???
Our only two “long” men(Libby & Matz) are now in the rotation. Seems like we need a long man???
With both Matz and Miles likely gone next year maybe one of them needs to move to that role??
Pitching has been great lately but wonder if they risk facing burnout??

I'll be the first to admit I don't have the acumen of a certain Red Sox scout. But I think Roddery Muñoz could be like a right handed Pedro Martinez. But larger and harder throwing, of course.

Munoz looks to have some promise. The kid will be back.
