Saggese comments on Brant Brown

On Jim Hayes pregame : Saggese on team offensive production : ' Brownie has done a great job .. just keeping it individualized and simple .
In a Brandon Donovan interview while not mentioning Brown by name, he stated 'we have an overall game plan but also individualized reports for us too .
Looks like Cards got a hitting coach that relates well with the players. One thing regarding the 'simple' statement from Saggesse, I have heard Brant discuss his philosophy is not to 'overload ' a player with too many things.

If two players both referenced "individualized" plan, then that's insight to all you need to know.

Some people were slamming them for hiring Brant brown in the offseason saying hes no good and Seattle fired him but it’s looking like a good move so far

Good. And if Brant isn’t working for Wilson then why don’t we just go get him his personal hitting coach?
It doesn’t have to be one of the other. Seems like the whole reason we cut player payroll was so we could hire more instruction. In the multitude of counselors there is wisdom.

How many instructiors does Goldy, Lynn and Gibson contracts buy?

The more I hear about Brown, the more I like him. I'm sure there's more that I don't know, but going only off of what I see, by measure of our hitting alone, we should be undefeated. Lowest amount of runs we've scored is 4, and if the pitching had been any good either of those days, 4 runs should get you a win. He's a fantastic hire--our boys seem to pick up what he puts down, and it shows.

Most of that money likely went into the DeWitt saddle bags.

That's very dubious, MMBT.
On a different subject, let's now get a new pitching coach. Blake didn't have the coaching experience for the major league position.

No doubt about it. Only player they added was Maton, and he likely got half of what Lynn or Gibson made. But they do need a pitching coach.

I seriously don’t understand why people think there are excess profits that go into the Cardinals, LLC
investors pockets when cable and ticket revenues are down. Do those people have access to the Cardinals, LLC financial statements?

Less than half. I think Lynn and Gibson got 5 figures each, and I'm pretty sure Maton's making about 2 mil.
