That loss was killer.

Good morning.

I know everyone has that pit in your stomach when you think about the blown save. It was killer.

Some will say it’s just one game, get over it. Sports don’t work that way. At this level, the biggest difference in player to player is mental fortitude.

Their physical performances from game to game even out. It’s the mental monsters that roam.

No way to know if we win game two. But I bet with a win, we may have scored more runs. The giving up 17 was on the pitchers. Nothing but walks and shots. But not the thread intent. Pitching.

Stl played a great game in adversity and away crowd. The did good.

Thoughts.

I think it was just one of those days. game 1 probably was like a gut punch to them. Normally after a game like that you can leave and re-group. It probably felt like an elephant on their back playing another game

Good analogy. It was a gut punch.
