I predicted he would suck and we would DFA him but in typical Cardinals fashion it won’t be until early July. I think they will be a mostly competitive team outside of his starts. Thank God I didn’t watch any of tonight’s game.

It’s why we know that this season was not necessarily about a “reset” than about a salary dump. There is absolutely zero reason that Mikolas should have a rotation spot and McGreevy would be in AAA if we were trying to find out what we have in our young pitchers.

If there was any kind of market for Mikolas we should have taken advantage of that but no one was going to go anywhere near that 17 million dollar price tag. So Mikolas gets paid to stink up here and McGreevy pitches in Memphis.

Can't say I'm surprised to see Miles get absolutely STRAFED by a team with a high powered line-up. And that's why Miles needs to go and needed to be gone for a while. He'll hold his own against teams that suck, but he's a batting practice pitcher otherwise.

Mc Greevy has a 4.00. ERA...in AAA.
