12 Wins

Post by HighStick »

It's crazy that this team that couldn't win 3 in a row for 70% of the season, now has the longest win streak in Blues history and also the longest active win streak in the NHL.These puckers are actually gonna make the PO's.

Atta boy Blues!

Almost as amazing is they have not yet clinched a playoff spot.

Was thinking the exact same thing…the Blues having won 12 straight and still not having clinched a playoff berth at this point in the season…tells you how bad the rest of the season really was for them and how far back they were…a lot like going from last place to the Cup in 2019…but even that team climbed to 3rd place before the playoffs started…not the Wild Card…just an amazing run…but not yet there!

With the win last night and Flames loss, the Blues actually now can clinch by winning two regulation games.

CGY's max = 97pts, 33RW which the Blues would have with two regulation wins also
The Blues have already clinched the second tiebreaker, ROW

Correct, they control their own destiny right now. They can also get in with ONE win and one REG loss each by Calgary and Vancouver.

Van is maxed at 95pts 33RW so a reg loss would cap them at 93/32RW. Blues are at 93/31 now.
Blues would just need one single point if Van lost in reg to clinch over Van

Without looking I think you're right about Vancouver, but if the question is the when can the Blues clinch they can't with one point. I believe their then-best case scenario would play out into games after the Blues season is over.
