What did he attempt to do though? He just middled it, again.

His 1, 2 and 3 goals were to trade Arenado he failed and that’s actually looking like he once again got saved from a dumb move. So revising the question has a POBO won executive of the year ever won it after failing at the only move he attempted to make in the offseason and it would have been a dumb move if it was successful but the player saved him from making it?

I'm sure if he offered to pay almost all of Nado's salary he could have gotten a trade.
