Cardinals saw the lowest non-COVID-19 attendance in the history of Busch III on Mon
The St. Louis Cardinals saw the lowest non-COVID-19 attendance in the history of Busch Stadium III on Monday. A paid attendance of 21,206 witnessed the 5-4 win by the Los Angeles Angels.
It was the Cardinals' fourth game of the season and fourth consecutive game in which the total crowd dwindled. After Opening Day on Thursday saw an attendance of 47,395, that number dropped to 30,712 to 26,923 to Monday's 21,206.
(Note: I was there and I'd put the "actual" crowd at closer to 15,000)

Down 7,626 now yoy, a pace for 2.2 million. We had never had an attendance figure below 30,000 in the new stadium in March/April until Sunday. We now have 2.

They panned the lower level in pre game and it was shocking to see all the fans dressed up as seats. Not surprised to see the actual total attendance was record breaking.

How can a billionaire be so stupid? Play poorly for 2 years in a row, win one playoff game in 10 years or whatever it is, cut the heck out of your payroll and on and on. You wanted this to happen, Billy? Why? This is some crazy stuff and, frankly, after the success Billy enjoyed I never thought I’d see this. You picked the scab and now you are licking the wound. Crazy, man, crazy.

I'm not sure the Cards see 3M again under BDW3.rockondlouie wrote: ↑01 Apr 2025 14:34 pm The St. Louis Cardinals saw the lowest non-COVID-19 attendance in the history of Busch Stadium III on Monday. A paid attendance of 21,206 witnessed the 5-4 win by the Los Angeles Angels.

BDW checked out a long time ago. His halfwit of a son is the Key DM at this point in time.
Strictly a numbers game for him.

After last night’s 21,000 and change, the Cardinals are now -8234/game yoy, nearly passing the Rays at -8274. They have nearly a worse change than a team that is playing their home games in a minor league stadium this year as opposed to a MLB stadium last year.

Pitiful
Reminding me of the late 70's before Whitey saved the franchise.
