Baker got two hits and walked once cant really complain about that effort. Cards scored enough to win yesterday it wasnt lack of runs that killed them it was bad pitching and managing

The Cards are hitting .289/.386/.500/.886 against southpaws so far in this young season. The average is fourth highest in the majors, the oba is sixth highest, the slugging is seventh highest, and the OPS is sixth highest.
What should those numbers be???

They didn't get rid of Oldy, they didn't re-sign him. Which was the correct decision.
Lol. The first loss and I knew there'd be the bleating of the insipid

Nice. Bad take by the OP.

To be fair improving the team wasn't the #1 goal this offseason.

Many people know nothing about running a baseball team. Whats your point.
This is supposed to be a yourh movement and not even focused on winning. So why would we bring in another veteran.
So far the team has vastly exceeded expectations.
Try being a pirates fan

If it was a youth movement you'd have McGreevey in Mikolas's spot. If you're focused more on youth than winning now running MM out there makes no sense. He's gone after this year, his only value is having a veteran arm to try to help you win games now. Even Gray & Fedde you can justify keeping them for the future (Gray will be here in '26 when hopefully you could conceivably start winning, Fedde might be worth extending) Mikolas being in this rotation serves no purpose in a youth movement & blocks younger pitchers from getting a chance. It's not hard to see why fans are confused by the direction of the team. It seems like the team itself struggles with what direction they're going.

Yeah , a Monday night in spring .. school night so less chance of family bringing their kids to a game... secondly, cold weather . I lived in Wis. for 40 years and went to my share of winter Packer games so no problem in sitting out in cold but many baseball fans don't want to sit in stands with heavy jackets and ski caps. Not the type night to get fans to drive down to the stadium to watch the game when they can do so at cozy warm home or a sports bar in West County with No ticket charge, no parking fee, and much cheaper beer prices.

Angry people aren’t known for being the most reasonable. Yes a lot of the fanbase is disgruntled and that’s their right. But it doesn’t change that your complaint doesn’t even make sense considering the Cardinals are hitting lefties well so far

38 AB's vs LHP this season:
.289 .386 .500 .886
98 AB's vs RHP this season:
.306 .381 .510 .891
That's some balance there, B. Brown strikes again?
