I know that would please quite a few CT posters. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/ca ... 68be0&ei=9

No, CT would like Burly to hit half as good as you think he does.

What we want is for you to be permanently banned like you were in The Cardinal Nation.

This was my fav, however:

"slugging 21 home runs in 152 games with a 104 OPS+. Those aren't All-Star numbers by any means, but the Royals would gladly accept them from someone batting sixth or later in their current lineup."

If Don Rivers of Royal Review speculates so thus shall it be. I don't necessarily want him traded. I just don't want him to get another 600 PAs when his bat is mediocre. If Oli used him properly instead of seeing him as a security blanket it would be better for the Cardinals and Burleson. And I don't get why his slumps spare him Oli's doghouse treatment that Carlson's and Walker's earned.

And for a guy who whines and moans about Burleson's terrible scrutiny on this board TS. You open yourself to it.

If Contreras continues to whiff at sliders off the plate. And until Walker and Gorman show more consistent production. The Cardinals probably need to hang on to Burleson.

If Burleson "continues" to go 1-4 with a measly single and a GIDP. The Cardinals should trade "him".

If only the mods here would give you the Cardinal Nation treatment instead of brief timeouts.

An SI "writer'" regurgitates the baseless trade speculation of a Royals internet blogger.

Definitely an important piece of "journalism" that deserves--nay, demands--yet another new thread.

So are you once again "changing your evaluation" of Contreras based on "developments" (i.e., whatever happened in the last game)?

I change my mind. I'm all for a Burleson Royals trade as long as you are included for an attention starved troll to be named later.

Ask yourself: in a LH batter pinch-hitting situation, who would you send to the plate - Gorman who has more pure power, or Burleson, who makes contact?-

Is the "game on the line"? Is the RHP "stout"? Does he have a "nasty/filthy/wicked slider"?

Can't answer until we know these important details.

Tying Runner’s on second, 2 outs in the ninth. You pick - 5 seconds to make your decision.

If it were tomorrow in a must win game I'd hold my nose and take Burleson, based on Gorman's struggles. But in this "reset" year the Cardinals need to cultivate players with upside. If Gorman and Walker do not develop properly contention may be a pipe dream the next several years.
