Nolan Gorman would do well to concentrate on hitting the baseball like he has shown he can (in the more and more distant past) and not really concern himself with much else.

His current predicament is of his own making.

Today's lineup was a good one. Seems to be the best all-around nine.

I thought toward the end of Spring training that Gorman looked a lot better. He wasn’t trying to pull everything, and was making better contact. Let’s hope that him not playing everyday, that he doesn’t revert back to trying to Jack everything!
I agree though, he’s where he is because of himself. The way the roster is built, there is going to be someone on the bench we’d like to see playing. It’s tough having young mostly unproven players on the bench. That’s where more veteran guys work out better.

They are a much better team without him, his replacement had 2 to 3 hits yesterday, he's far superior.

I like/prefer Donovan at 2B.
With Arenado here, have Gorman as the primary DH imo.
Why? He has a higher slug ceiling than Burleson. Strive for damage out of the DH. That simple.

Gorman didn't earn it but also if they're not gonna prioritize getting him everyday ABs over Burleson, after talking all winter about how vital it was to give him and Walker "runway"... then they need to just trade him now for whatever they can get. It's just basic asset management.

I wouldn’t mind seeing them trade him. This team is worse with him in the lineup.
