After just 32 pro games, the Astros are promoting Cam Smith from AA to the MLB. He was a big part of the Tucker trade. It will be interesting to see how that plays out. We might be very glad that the Cubs made that deal for one year of Tucker.

Especially since Tucker will be a Yankee or dodger next season leaving the cubs with just a draft pick to show for it

No doubt. The Astros did very well in that trade.

I fully expect the Cubs to re-sign Tucker, don't you?

I don't. Ricketts and Hoyer have not demonstrated spending the kind of money needed to keep Tucker in Chicago beyond this season. I don't think they will be able to compete with the Yankees or Dodgers to sign Tucker.

And yet JJ isn't Cards worthy, but getting to AA.

ST means everything. Look at VS2 last year and how he performed on the season
26 PA's. Top draft pick at aje 23 starting in AA. Lol

Why are you trying to add a year to his age? He’ll spend virtually this whole season as a 22 year old, turns 23 in September. It’s quite possible that he’ll be in the MLB before he turns 23.
