An English sports betting company has reached a major sponsorship deal with the St. Louis Cardinals.

As of Monday, bet365 is the official mobile sports betting partner of the team. The financial terms and length of the deal were not disclosed.

“We are thrilled to welcome bet365 as the club’s official mobile sports betting partner,” team President Bill DeWitt III said in a statement. “This partnership adds a new and exciting element to the fan experience which can be activated at Busch Stadium or any place that fans watch and follow Cardinals baseball.”

Bet365 will have advertising throughout Busch Stadium as well as on the radio and online. An all-inclusive section of the park will now be known as the bet365 bridge.

The company said it was “excited to bring a world class mobile sports betting experience to the Show-Me State.”

Good. Money is money. We can't complain that we're "a small market team" that can't compete and then turn down revenue streams.

Yeah right!!!

What we heard when they pimped the New Stadium, Last TV Deal, Ballpark Village etc etc etc.

We won't see a nickel of it pumped into player assets.

It's funny fan attendance falling & losing a bit in the FanDuel deal led directly to payroll reductions, yet somehow I doubt we're going to see any big investment into the roster after gaining this $

Have never cared about gambling. And I hope they stock the team with successful homegrown players.

Actually, sdaltons, it was in response to news about
bet365. I don’t really care. That’s all. But I do care about opening day on Thursday. We all have our biases and opinions on things. Freedom of expression in this country. Right?

I have never bet on sports, I don't approve of betting on sports. Baseball gets dirtier all the time.

No, not freedom of expression. Freedom from the government punishing or limiting your speech. <- that has nothing to do with people calling you on the things you say.

Hard to believe you fought in a war for the freedom and don't even understand it.
