Just did a google search for the above and found no headlines since 2024. Same with STL Cardinals site.

What is he even up to so far this season?

Learning. After 4 years with the Red Sox in which he was let go early he apparently is still in waiting. He can hire more coaches for the minor league teams to say we are putting more money there.

He’s at the right spot to learn what not to do. Learn what bad communication looks like, learn what getting complacent looks like, learn what doing half a job looks like, learn what bad talent evaluation looks like.

If he's learning from Mo then he's learning the wrong things.

tank's defense of Mo, as dumb as it regularly is, is at peak dumbness when he's attacking Bloom as a way to prop up Mo.

Bloom is correctly laying low so as not to step on Mo's final season

But he's definitely having impact w/the minor league player development system he began to install last season and evaluating the major league team.

He wasn't "let go early" in Boston, he was RAILROADED by ownership.

I suspect Bloom is putting his attention to what is going on at the farm. The more the operational team understands what he expects from them, the more he can focus on major league matters as POBO next year.

Louie, regardless of the reason Bloom was let go, why is being fired from a job/position viewed as some negative thing? Loss of pay sure if you don't have a contingency built is bad, but the overall act of being let go doesn't mean jack.

Who cares.... It's the nature of W2.

Bloom is putting in place the minor league system with his new directiors. . He can get a good handle on minors this year and the after 2025 season part ways with major league roster guys he wants replaced by some in minors. Some young guys will be traded..others retained.

Never really took a deep dive into his background.

Not that a WIKI page is a Deep Dive.

An intriguing background. To say the least.

Degree from Yale in Latin Classics. And was a member of a long traditioned Yale Acapella group during his years there. Drawing a blank on it's name. Keeps kosher.

Interned with some team in late 90's. Quickly and impressively climbed the ladder with TB and culminated with a Bloom Manual that sounds a bit similar to our Past Cardinal Way. Shouldn't necessarily say that as I haven't laid eyes on either. But he put together a Blueprint and the Rays benefited greatly.

A lot of player development and talent evaluation at all levels. And added on POBO responsibilities vis a vis contracts, salaries, etc etc.

Don't give a toss what happened in BeanTown. The dude did an incredible job in TB. With less resources. If DeTwit gives him the authority to make hay, and a bit of coin to boot, we may be in good shape!!!

I know people are upset with Mo staying this year, but I've been saying for awhile now that it might be the best thing for this organization overall that he is. Bloom had all of last year to evaluate this organization and learn about what areas need to be improved. Then, he gets this offseason and all this year to continue to build on that, make improvements, continue bringing in guys that can help the organization, and get this organization in the right place for when he takes over.

And all the while, Mo is going to take all the big hits if the team doesn't do well this year. Bloom doesn't have to worry about that right now. All he's gotta do is take the time he needs to build the organization the way he feels is best.
