2025 record prediction

Good morning.
We do this every year. I don’t know if anyone ever gets close to their predictions.
So let’s do it again, but let’s play X treme predicting- two opportunities to give predictions.
First record prediction is now, three games into ST. Next vote will be last day of ST. You can then update your first choice.
On that day, I will pull up the thread, and we revisit it. Then wait 162 games to see who’s closest:
Me- cool team, not great, signs of growth , .500 at 81-81.
Next.

Mornin' Doggie.. OK, I will play. Ever the optimist, even with the moron in the dugout... I will say 83 wins, so that must mean 79 losses unless Manfred has changed the number of games in a season and I missed it:) Somehow, some way, a few of the young guys will come through and they will finish above .500..... yeah suurrreee

Over .500 in a rebuild where they have shown a desire not to add, is a strong predict.

72W - 90L
Last in the Central. Only the Rockies and Marlins will have worse records in the NL.

Ok as of now we don't know who is / isn't going to be on the team by opening day. As constituted with the current roster I will say 84 wins. Call me an optimist.

That’s deep. I would think lots of bad baseball will have to be played to attain 90 losses. The objective in this rebuild is to see growth and promise from those who can, and again cut fat next off season for those who don’t “ cut” it. Then add.
You could be right.

The roster may be as good as it gets today.
86-76.

Talk about confidence. That’s almost post season level.

Nothing would make me happier than being wrong, but I think we are going to see a lot of bad baseball with a double scoop of bad managing. I also think that players know they are playing for a team that has no intent (not desire) to do what it takes to win. That can't be motivating. But lots of bad teams have had seasons where they over-performed and I would love to be one of those teams. Hoping for the best; braced for the worst.

I'm with you on the .500 record.
For the 2nd year in a row, I'll go with
80-80, 2 rain outs won't be made up.
