So good to have this show back, and dive back into this world. I still don't know most of the characters names, but that recap of season 1 was definitely needed and helpful. Also, so good to start off in Winterfell...ah the memories. :)

The book was the same way. Because it was a "history" or whatever instead of an actual novel, they just run through all these different characters and it is hard to keep them all straight. Especially when you have similar names, or the exact same names, for different characters. Oh, and everyone is screwing close relatives or kids.

It's a good show, though. Even if they lean a bit too hard into some things that they think everyone thinks makes this world interesting.

It would be cool if some character's name was Hank. Or Phil. Or Tom. :)

Great episode last night. I noticed that there will only be 8 episodes this season.

Heating up....dragons....I see what you did there!

It was good, which made the latest episode seem rather boring and uneventful.

I was hoping someone would catch that! :)

Agreed, a little slow but building the story, so I get that. Makes me almost want to start GOT again.

Surprised no discussion about this show, is anyone watching? ha

I was very letdown by the season finale, and don't look forward to the 47-month (or whatever it will be) wait for season 3.

HOTD ending after 4 seasons. Thank you. We don't need 7-8 seasons of this.

Yeah, when the closing credits rolled last night, I was…what? That’s it?

I did the same. I don't want to spoil anything, so I will make a broad statement; it was just setting up the chess board. To me, boring, and not what you want for a season finale. They won't start filming until next year, which means we could be waiting until 2026, which is insane.

While I understand that it’s an incredibly expensive show to produce, a two-year gap after only eight episodes might be more than people are willing to wait. It’s already hard enough to keep track of characters and relationships, who hates who, who is the secret daddy, which pale skinned white haired guy is good and which is evil, what outlying regions are loyal to which queen or king.

And although I have friends that listen to every podcast, have every Funko Pop figurine, I just don’t have time for that. If I have to do three hours of podcast listening just to remember what I saw two weeks ago, much less two years ago, that’s too much.

I'm the same way. I mean I got the general gist of the story, but probably spent half the season wondering what was going on and who are these people since season 1 was 2 years ago. I think they had the guy lose an eye just so people could tell them apart!
