Anyone Heard of Andre Pallante?

Post by Ejwcpa2001 »

Well he got noticed at the AFL. I attached a summary of people that performed well and he’s on the list and the Cards #30 prospect. According Jim Callis, he had his fastball at 99 mph and striking out 22 in 21 innings of work. He is 23 years old.

Donovan mentioned as well and Yepez too…We know those guys though.

Pallante is an up and comer. Had a pretty decent year last year. I am surprised that he is touching 99 with his fastball. I thought he sat in the 94-96 range. If he can maintain 99 with his fastball, he could be here next year.

he was the outstanding starter in AFL and could make some noise in ST. could be a callup if they need help in BP or could spend another year in memphis.

Showed good command in college but not strong coming out of the missed 2020. He had a fantastic college career, high pick in 2019, has the profile of a back of the rotation guy right now.

I'm hoping that he shows improved command in 2022 and misses some more bats. It'll suck if he can't work with the team during the lockout.

Yeah, if there's a lockout then many young men will be negatively affected. Not good all around...Surely they'll figure it out.

He's my surprise pick to make the team at some point in '22. I think he can turn into a valuable bullpen piece.

I like to pretend the lockout isn't happening. Makes me feel better. Hopefully, it will only affect a portion of ST at best. *sigh*

Oh yeah? I hadn't ever heard of him until today. Several on here have and Old Friend said he was great in college. I hope he turns out to be special.

IF he has movement on his FB. IF he can always remember where home plate is located. IF he has more than a FB go get batters out - great. Light years ahead of Hicks who excess baggage at this point.

His command improved as the season went on.

In May, he walked 14 batters in just 22 innings.
In Aug / Sept, he walked only 4 batters in 20 innings.

Still walked 10 in 20 AFL innings.
