No, they’ve called it that way over 20 years now. You can drag the puck behind you into the O zone even if both of your skates are offside — as long as you are judged to have control.

It wasn’t that way back in the ‘70’s. But I’m not sure when they changed it.

I don’t like the rule as it’s called now. Just like goalie interference it puts too much subjectivity into the call and too much burden on the refs.
