That was an unexpected good game from the Blues tonight.
PP is still questionable but the PK was strong tonight.
Hofer had a heck of a game. Blues D came out strong but wilted a little down the stretch but they got the job done.

19 to 18 SOG. Both teams played pretty open so the puck going back and forth back and forth but very few scoring chances.

Pretty awful to watch. lol
Agreed. Blues need to have more SOG. They won't win many games 1 to 0... Great win though. Keep em coming boys!!
That's a classic Central Division grinder every pass, every inch of ice was contested amazing game Blues form was excellent all night they never waivered. They looked very well coached tonight

But unlike the NBA which seems to have the same script, with teams going through the motions until the last 4 minutes, the great thing about hockey is that it’s unpredictable. Sure, you’ll get a 2-1 or 1-0 game which non-fans wont appreciate, but you’ll also get 6-4, 5-4, 5-0 games as well.

Now that being said, if the NHL Rules Committee would reduce the ginormous size of the goalie equipment, we might actually see more scoring. I loved the ‘80’s where the goalie leg pads were shorter, the 5-hole wasn’t so easily closed off, and we saw many more high scoring games.

Theyve lost more than they have won lately, but they are getting points in almost all games lately. That shows me that they fight and haven't given up. Thats a great sign. LGB!!!

Nice win tonight. Still want to see Broberg get PP time but really nice game overall. Also want to see our top six break out and start producing.

Agree. Outstanding game.

Have to keep in context that Keller and those guys normally eat us up. Just holding them to 2 or 3 would have been an improvement. But keeping them off the board? And killing that 5 minute penalty? Nails.

If you think that was a bad hockey game then this sport may not be for you. Try pro pickle ball on the Ocho

The team looks emotionally healthy these days.
Everyone is hustling and playing hard, 200 foot shifts.

i think losing Texier, who never played consistently to his potentiaL, and seeing Number 25 playing hard and fighting for pucks has caused a definite rise in pride and confidence.

My main issue with the 5 minute was it was in response to the injury not because either Ref actually thought it was a penalty.

That is a serious issue with NHL refs is they are always reactionary. I have no problems with getting the call right, but don't go to the review because of the injury go to the review because you initially thought it was a penalty but now you need to see how serious it was.

Now as the game, that makes it the Blues have only 2 regulations losses in their last 12. Sure they have given points away, but this is team that is absolutely trending in the right direction. If and that's a big if, if the offense can get going, they can go on a streak of something like winning 14 out 16 or 20 of 24 and find themselves solidly in a playoff spot. I think Minnesota has a repeat of every year where they come out of the off season red hot, but limp to the end.

Broberg is becoming a massive stud and I'd get him locked up sooner rather than later.

Holloway as I stated would take about 15-20 games to get going and right on cue he is taking off so I'd get him locked up as well.

All in all they were excellent tonight and controlled 80% of the game, the only time they didn't was the first 10 minutes of the 2nd.

Just saying, when the amount of blocked shots is on par with actual shots on goal and the end score is 1-0, it's typically just diehard fans who find this type of game to be the most appealing.

Personally, I know how much the team needed the W and it was very satisfying to FINALLY keep Keller off the mothereffin scorecard!

But not a lot of highlights to keep me warm as I fall asleep tonight. lol

Didn't hear 23's number called often, and that is a good thing. I think he played a reliable game. Yes, Broberg was doing his best Bobby Orr impression tonight. He played a really great game, and has for several games now. Glad to see Hofer shut out the team that chased him early last time we played. I hope Cooley isn't hurt as bad as it looked. He is a very good young player and knee injuries can be a career altering injury. Fabbri is one example of a guy who was never the same. I wish him the best.
