I was behind all game so I didnt post, but I just finished and...

Early returns on the newest Swedes are encouraging.

Berggren is legit. He makes plays. Head is up. Can make the pass and did tonight - he created multiple opportunities in the o zone. Schenn had a one timer from one of his seam passes, Suter gets a slick pass which leaves him alone with the goalie and nearly finishes.

I felt Stenberg deserved to make the team out of camp. His game is fundamentally solid and had flashes tonight, won puck battles, made the smart play, and got some PK time too.

Next game hope to see more. Would like to see how they hold up on the road too. Home games allow the coach to shelter them a bit.

Did anyone notice that Fabbri didnt play much in the third? I dont think he played poorly, Maybe he got hurt? Maybe the bench just got really short.

The young players were all very noticeable tonight.

Neighbours and Thomas both had solid games. Faulk continues to put up points.

Hofer was solid in net. Good to see a bounce back game from him.

10 and 89 still drag the offense down in my opinion. I firmly believe Schenn needs to be the 4th line center or winger at his point in his career. But they won’t do that.

I was not wild about the decision to shorten the bench and do a shell game the last 7 minutes. Esp against the Jets……

I thought Stenberg and Berggren were both involved in the offensive plays and made great reads. Fabbri continues to play well since being signed. He did not deserve to be sat in the last bit of the game.

My opinion, keep playing the kids. Even if you lose they need to play. I liked what I saw from them.

I was pleasantly surprised by both. It’s only one game, but Stenberg looked the part and Berggen has some really good vision. Hope they keep getting opportunities.
