It's one thing to crack a joke. But Kerber and Vitale don't know when to stop it and move on. I don't think the TV viewers are going to take kindly to it.

I like Kerber and Joey a lot. I think people just like to complain...
No sale. Most everyone posting here has heard them do a broadcast before. I'm not looking forward to this, they have already destroyed their credibility with me. The out-of-pocket cost to me (reportedly $209 for NHL Center Ice, plus $119.99 for ESPN+) has gone up and the quality of the broadcasts I'm paying for will drop significantly. This promises to be an exciting season on the ice, we fans deserve FAR better consideration and treatment and as a paying customer I have a right to speak up.

No one enjoyed Kerbs telling Vitale his first chicken egg will cost $700?

Especially in preseason it would be nice for them to actually tell us what player is carrying the puck or shooting it. It’s hard to know the numbers of a bunch of minor leaguers. And I hope Kerber learns the other teams player numbers and lets us know their names. I think they think since we can see it, they don’t have to talk about it. We don’t have the luxury of being rink side and it’s not our profession to know the player names and numbers. I do alright after about 20 games in season with the Blues but I expect our announcers to give player names on who’s shooting, who’s blocking pucks, etc.

And I don’t know why they need to keep talking about the rookies being boys… it sounds creepy hearing Vitale say it. He said it at least 3 times. Call them rookies, guys, kid players, youngsters but saying they are just boys and boys will be turning into men just sounds weird.

Can we please, at least, have Rivs back?

This is painful to listen to and I don’t think fans are getting professional announcers.

I could care less about Vitale chickens or his cooking.

They didn't realize Ellis replaced Hofer in goal until almost 11 minutes went by in the 3rd period.

They definitely do not put in the work to know the players, numbers and who is on the ice. There is a lot more to announcing than just showing up in the booth.

So when guys in the room or coaches say let’s go boys it’s creepy? Or just when analysts do it?

Nevermind the analyst is also a former player as well so probably says that as easy as breathing

Your contribution is to continue to complain about a decision the Blues made that they obviously don’t agree with you on…you and all the other boomers need to give it up Karen.

This isn't worth fighting over. I consider my post customer feedback, nothing more. If the season broadcasts are bad enough I will complain directly to the Blues. Hopefully they aren't.

Noted: Being old is a privilege. Having a LOT of time to closely follow the Blues and pursue other interests (boating, etc) is something I worked very hard to achieve. When I was young many of the counterculture types ran with the mantra 'life ends at 30'. They were wrong. There are rarely (hopefully no) grandkids before 30.
