Great strategy.
Gorman whiffs on purpose to avoid the DP and keep the inning alive for Fermin!
He's a genius I tell ya - never been one quite like him!

O'Brien gets PH Turang to pop up to CF. 1 down and another LH ph steps to the dish.

I know that Fermin is unlikely to be on the team next year but they could do a lot worse.
I like him!

O'Brien hits Bauers. His ball moves so much his control is somewhat sketchy. If he gets command of these pitches he is going to be a very effective closer.
WINNER in home finale!!

Winner. Now 4 games out of wild card!
Could have had a sweep and been 3 games out but for a sentimental moment being more important.

He is a decent utility IF. Some team will sign him to a big league contract next year.

Very good , series ! Took 2 out of 3 from Brewers scoring 14 runs and holding Brewers to just 5 runs in the three games.
No quit in Cardinals !

1 PING ONLY, VASILY!!!!
KRAZY IVAN!!!
I'll miss saying that next year
We’ll definitely have to do that in your honor if Pozzo Ivano is still on the team.

Yes
The IF is pretty full but if they move on from Arenado and Noot, along with either Gorman or Donovan I would welcome Fermin off the bench!

and Brewers lost 4 straight to start the year .. who would have thunk they would be flirthing with 100 win total and best record in MLB
I know a couple brewer fans in Wis. they never expected this kind of year .. Willy Adames left in free agency and Devin Williams departed too
