not sure how much he has upstairs, if you know what I mean.
Herrera was the only one that didn't try to foolishly advance a bag. All 3 players should have been standing on their based. Noot and Contreras advanced, Herrera tried to go back to 3rd, but Noot was standing there. Either Herrera or Noot was going to be out at that point, but not Herrera's fault.
Correct, Noot and Contreras screwed it up.
It's funny that many here bash Oli and the Cards for not knowing the rules, but they themselves don't even know the rules when they have time to sit back and think about it.
Nobody on here plays baseball for a living.

And zero major leaguers have an excuse for advancing on an infield fly with 1 out.
But you guys all state how stupid Oli is and how anyone with half a brain would do a better job, yet people on this thread are blaming Herrera for that IF fly debacle, clearly not knowing the rules of baseball. Chalk this one up as a loss for the couch potato manager crowd. It's cool. You'll live to fight another day and another gripe.
Absolutely
Herrera headed home because Salad Bar Brain Nootbaar went to 3B. LOL

I never said this particular f-up was on Oli.

Once again, no major league player (in this case Nootbaar and Contreras) EVER has an excuse to do what they did.

But glad you try to put the blame on “the couch potato manager crowd”.
You guys are geniuses. You know all of the rules. This time some of you didn't. I still believe in you guys!

Nice stop and strong throw. Getting reps at third seems to have him improving.

Disgraceful!!!!!
Watch out, Cusecards. The organization apologists and oli fan club will get mad. Cardinalsfever44 will be lecturing you about what a great strategy that was by oli. And will question your baseball knowledge.

Who here still sees Herrera valuable?
He does lead the team in batting OBP and OPS that’s kind of valuable and is the only one on the team with an OPS above .800
