Do you think Bernal is the best prospect in Springfield. He has been impressive and is a good catch and throw guy. To me catcher is the most important position on the field, and the Cardinals mlb team needs a good one. I know Wetherholt is a good hitting prospect, but not in as much a position of need for the big team.

Both are fabulous prospects. Both could be starters in St Louis within a year or two.

We need those kind of players.

That is why I love following the minors. I got my information from the Sporting News as a kid, when it was the baseball bible. I remember two prospects in 1965 named Steve Carlton and Nelson Briles. Wasn't long before they were part of a very strong pitching staff in St. Louis.
