Yep, it makes total sense. And I don't know why they didn't have Contreras hitting in the middle of the order to begin with, but at least it was before May that they made the change.

Get Herrera back and you've got a very solid top 6 hitters in the lineup.

Oli didn't let Matz go long enough for a win.

Matz was at 73 pitches today and he threw on Sunday as well.

Matz made 13 pitches in relief on Saturday, not Sunday.

Fine, he was throwing on 3 days rest and I'm sure was on a pitch count limit, as I believe this is only his 2nd start this season. Bash away on Oli though.

I was not bashing on Oli, nor questioning his decision to remove Matz after 73 pitches tonight. I was only stating the fact that Matz last pitched on Saturday, not Sunday. Have a nice evening.
