From what I've seen, recently, Burleson is superior to Contreras, defensively, at 1B.

Split them, Burley starting first basemen vs RHP and let WC start vs LHP. That would be the logical move.

Somewhat redundant, they already alternate between DH & 1B, while Burly has been sitting for Baker vs. LHP.

Burleson was a first baseman/pitcher in college
