Spending more time in press box than on the ice.

Was rooting for the guy to blossom with Isles, but 3 points and -3 in 9 games is less than impressive.

I was wrong. DA was right. Perunovich--in the nhl --is just a guy.
Great college player!

:D
I hope things get better for Scotty. The Blues took a flyer on him being a Lane Hutson type player and it didn't work out. Maybe if Scotty lost 20 lbs? Or maybe Scotty is Lane's future after a few big hits? Probably neither.

In the NHL he appears to be looking for some apron strings whenever the big boys start pressing.

He never seemed like a good idea or investment.

BUT him remaining who he was spotlights how Tyler Tucker has improved.
Tucker is one of numerous roster improvement breaks the Blues have gotten this year.
Tons of credit are due Ryan Suter, but mostly Tucker himself.

I was a big perunovich supporter, especially since he didn't look that bad when out there for the blues this year. But he clearly didn't fit the system that monty was going for. Because looking decent when the team looks disjointed doesn't mean you are playing towards how monty wants to play. It's pretty clear monty wants to play a breakout style that starts from the defense. We were the best in the league at that when he was hear last time, and again it is the teams strength. So that means length and speed. Perunovich wasn't really a speedster or have a lot of length, and he didn't produce enough points to warrant being out there. He can skate the blue line though.

The stat that I was hoping could be his future was last season, when him and Thomas were on the ice together, our points total skyrocketed. I was under the assumption that meant we had 2 guys with good vision creating plays. But it never materialized into longevity.

Guys who we had hopes for that not much happened
Perunovich
Klim Kostin the god
Fabbri - injuries ruined this man

Agreed, Tucker’s a keeper now, he just needed time to figure things out.

And I dont care what anyone says, the best defense is a robust beast of a defense full of piiiiiss and vinegar, with 3 of the 6 havin offensive ability and with all of them being capable of at least makin an intelligent, competent outlet pass.

There’s nithin better than a bunch of big Dmen who have gnarly attitudes and long wingspans to break up plays, clear the crease, dont put up with opposing players taking liberties with teammates, and are proficient on the powerplay and/or the penalty kill.

I realize it’s extremely difficult to have every single Dman possess every quality I just mentioned, but that would be the goal to constantly strive for after Steen hires me to finish reshaping the D :D

My predictions and hopes for him looking terribly wrong.

I imagine he will be out of options soon and if an opportunity does come back his way he better make the most of every minute he gets.
