The world needs to know Tyler The Babe Fitzgerald...
Fantasy Pros 2024 Preseason Projection:
.219 AVG
.638 OPS
3 HR, 10 RBI, 11 Runs, 3 SB in 88 AB's
Tyler Fitzgerald live update:
.312 AVG
1.023 OPS
12 HR, 24 RBI, 29 Runs, 7 SB in 138 AB's
Big pickup by An Old Friend right before he blew up...
And how about the foresight to pickup Joey Bart 24 hours before Gabriel Moreno tears his groin?! LOL... a little lucky on that one, although sucks to lose Moreno. He was hitting .326 in the second half coming into tonight.
3 runs on 6 hits through 3.0 IP w/ zero Ks. Terrible pitcher.

You might want a catcher. Realmuto is available.

I’ll hit you up if Bart gets hurt, too
Realmuto is unplayable right now.

Flyer on an upside young bat with every day playing time. Short term fill in.
I could use a better 2B option but I think it might be the shallowest position in fantasy this year.

Interesting… he’s 5-52 (.096/.346) in the last month. Realmuto has as many hits in the last week, w/ two days off
Agree 2B is thin this year, when Garcia Jr. is top-5…

And it’s a fair callout on VargASS for sure. I only have him hoping to get lucky since he gets an everyday chance to play, that’s all. He’s sucked so far, him and Marte.
I have Betts on my other two teams and was playing him at 2B in one (now rotating David Hamilton / Horowitz) but OF in the other cause I have Altuve.
15 teamer is going to cause some real gaps when there’s such positional scarcity so I’ve been ok living with it, here.

Horowitz is a dead Russian pianist… you might have better luck with Spencer Horwitz.
You must have had top-4 overall picks in all three leagues, or was Betts a keeper in one?

Keeper in my 12 team H2H points league
Bought for $44 of a $260 budget in auction keeper (and Soto for $46)
Keeper cost is auction price + $10 so I probably won’t keep either one.

FWIW - still willing to sell saves (Hader (22), Fairbanks (20), or Finnegan (28) for the rest of the year).
Surprised that some teams sitting in the high 20s or low 30s don't see a potential to make a strong pts. move up the board before the end of the year. Only 11 saves right now between 10 pts. (QV with 40 SVs) and 3 pts. (sdaltons with 29 SVs).
Can we get an updated power rankings from Fantasy Pros?

In retrospect, this trade back on June 16 might have been the crappiest ever (with stats from 6/16 to now):
Jose Berrios (5 wins, 3 QS, 47 K, 5.56 ERA, 1.38 WHIP)
James McArthur (6 SV, 9 K, 5.19 ERA, 1.39 WHIP)
Nestor Cortes (2 wins, 3 QS, 44 K, 5.98 ERA, 1.44 WHIP)
Lane Thomas (.242 AVG, .711 OPS, 26 runs, 18 RBI, 12 SB, 2 HR)

At some point it would be fun to go back through all of the trades and see how they've worked out.
I still have mental scar tissue from some of my bad trades through the years... including I think the very first trade I made in 2007 in a keeper league I'm still in today: Hanley Ramirez for Barry Zito, Bartolo Colon, and Jermaine Dye.

What are standings going into home stretch ??
Whatashame - 149.5
An Old Friend - 142.5
Quincy Varnish - 115.5
Jeffy25 - 104.5
MattMitchell44 - 104
Cool Papa Con - 103.5
DJ Davis - 97
Booooyah - 95.5
Barking Lion - 93
imadamnman - 90
ggnoobs - 76
SamTheMan - 75
Dazepster - 68.5
Cardsrmyteam - 66.5 (took over for absentee manager Cardinals4Life)
sdaltons - 59
Quincy has a massive lead in total moves made with 189. Next up is Jeffy with 77 and Whatashame/MattMitchell tied at 68. sdaltons has made the least moves with 10... likely why he finds himself at the bottom of the standings.
For the most part it has been a fun, good, very active lead.

Looks like 2 horse race.
Where’s Jeffy been….haven’t seen him posting on CT
