save for girly-hair Gastelum
Gastelum has some very good stuff.
I could see him in the bullpen this year earlier than the ASB.
On his one walk - two of the pitches were 95 and barely low. The change is nasty. The slider stays down, as did almost all his pitches. I’m impressed.
One of Crav's and my favorite relievers in the system last year. For a guy who sits low-to-mid 90s, he misses a lot of bats, mostly because the changeup is ++.
I really like Svanson in our bullpen. When they bring Gastelum and Hence in, that could make a nasty pen.
He just came up with the best end-of-the-year roster for the bull pen I’ve seen:
1. Svenson - part of BP Committee
2. O’Brien - “”
3. JoJo - if he’s here - 3rd member of Committee
4. Gastelum
5. Hence - I still have faith he’d be great in BP
6. Stanek - if still here
7. Graceffo - long relief
8. One of the 5-6 lefties we have in the minors or
Cijintje to get a month of experience (but donut lose year of control with anyone).

it was hit high enough he had plenty of time to get back and get it easily.

nice jump though
At this point, I'm more concerned about Saggese's lack of hitting than his ability to play the outfield.

What about Soriano??
For all I’ve read/heard he’s been nasty plus out of options.

You’re right. He’s looked good but … a career 6 ERA in 118 innings in MLB.
But I’d give him a shot!

At least one of Hjerpe, Doyle, Franklin, and Clarke won't make it as a starter and will move to the pen.

I’m just basing him making the opening day roster
on his ST performance and being out of options.
So he would have to clear waivers since they can’t just send him to Memphis.
No prediction on how he’ll pitch in April.
He could stink which would correspond with his 6.00 ERA?

Good odds as each MLB team has basically 5 starters and 8 relievers. Multiply that by 30 teams and you have 150 starting pitchers and 240 relievers.
Your odds are much better that you pitch in the MLB from the 'pen' !

Is this Spring an outlier for Libby or is he suddenly improved into All Star caliber Ace?
Unlike last season he's had a full offseason to train and it appears get stronger (ie: looks bigger).

I wouldn't be surprised to see him be one of the "break-out" starters in MLB this season.
