The beginning of the game reminded me of the Bama football game. We started out good then wasn't it Young that taunted a Bama player & gave them a first down when they would have had to punt with us on a roll up by 7? Phillips' shenanigans did the same thing last night. He was playing well as were the rest of the squad then he put a pin in the balloon.

Some emotion is a good thing, but when it consumes you it seldom works out. He's a senior and should be able to control himself, but we see it game after game with him and it hurts the team, thug ball never works out. Sadly, based on his play, he hasn't learned and probably never will. I will miss the player he could have been.

I think he’s starting to wear on his teammates. Sometimes after he plays knucklehead ball, the air just goes out of the balloon. He’s dragged the team down plenty. His early play last night may have had that effect. Too bad he can’t get his emotions under control.
