CAN WE EVER SCORE AN EMPTY NETTER!??!?!

And my gawd, Parayko, was an assist not enough you almost put one in off Binnington yourself...

Wow- lucky is good. Blues still need to learn to close out a game.

I have a feeling he just took the weight off his shoulders and he'll be able to relax a little bit now. Whether that translates to putting up points remains to be seen...

4 in the last 4. if he even returns to somewhat of his form as a Blue, he will end the year with 50 points which isn't terrible. Not the 65+ guy he was for us. but if you say today, we get old buchy back. I'll take it. The Blues seem to be a significantly better team after the holidays start than before for whatever reason. Usually i Look to the dads or moms trips as the spark, as those seem to go well as well. Maybe we have too many bro's on the team and they just are too much vibes kind of team? who knows.

Posted this yesterday but there's no mystery to what the team's problem is. It's the age 30+ vets. Before today, Buch, Schenn, Sunny, Parayko, and Fowler had scored a combined 7 goals. For context, I think there were (as of yesterday) 78 players in the NHL with 8 or more goals.

Those 5 should score around 75 goals combined per season, which means their total should be around 21, so they're contributing at 33% of their norm.

Surprise, surprise, they score 2 goals today, the team wins in regulation. Plus, those 5 are the team leaders and they all play on the PP. The young guys shouldn't be pressured to carry the team. These 5 play like they're capable, rest should fall in place.
