Intentionally giving one player or one team an advantage through a rule change specifically designed for that purpose, is a corruption of the game.
It is disgusting.
It is no different in intent than what MLB did during the steroid era.
And it intentionally altered the outcome of the WS - just as steroids did.
And another perspective.
In a way it is worse than betting on a game or a player - which MLB claims to be against.
It is rigging an outcome in advance of the contest.
