Jays win the series without the Ohtani Rule.
How? If they had a player like Ohtani they would have used him the same way.
You have it backwards.
Without the rule, the Dodgers would not have been able to use Ohtani in that way.
The rule won them the WS - plain and simple.
And it was specifically created to benefit him.
This WS was therefore corrupted and tainted.
It will forever require an asterisk.
Quit crying. Get over it. Plain and simple.

I don't care which team won the series.
I was not for or against either of them.
However, I am always and only about the game.
Intentionally giving one player or one team an advantage through a rule change specifically designed for that purpose, is a corruption of the game.
It is disgusting.
It is no different in intent than what MLB did during the steroid era.
And it intentionally altered the outcome of the WS - just as steroids did.
And another perspective.
In a way it is worse than betting on a game or a player - which MLB claims to be against.
It is rigging an outcome in advance of the contest.
