I mean getting put down publicly by his organization and being on the block several times will do that
Hope that helps

Summer trade rumors: In July 2025, several hockey reporters claimed Kyrou was willing to waive his no-trade clause for a move to the Canadiens. A specific report in French Canadian media outlet DansLesCoulisses indicated his response to his agent was, "Absolutely yes!".

The word on the Montreal board is that Kyrou was the main target for Maalox....they're pretty happy that it didn't happen.ManitobaBlues wrote: ↑16 Oct 2025 08:33 am Summer trade rumors: In July 2025, several hockey reporters claimed Kyrou was willing to waive his no-trade clause for a move to the Canadiens. that would be the worst trade in Blues history or even in the NHL.BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑16 Oct 2025 12:16 pmThe word on the Montreal board is that Kyrou was the main target for Maalox....they're pretty happy that it didn't happen.ManitobaBlues wrote: ↑16 Oct 2025 08:33 am Summer trade rumors: In July 2025, several hockey reporters claimed Kyrou was willing to waive his no-trade clause for a move to the Canadiens. Re: Kyrou
There was a ton of smoke about a bigger deal in the works involving Kyrou and Mailloux's name was mentioned there. At the time, I believe I said I knew it was bull[shirt] because no way would the Blues care about getting Mailloux in a deal involving Kyrou. Now I learn the Blues have been enamored with him for some time...so it was probably true. Not sure what the other pieces were but it seems they were set on getting LM. Can't say I understand what they saw in him...ManitobaBlues wrote: ↑16 Oct 2025 14:24 pmthat would be the worst trade in Blues history or even in the NHL.BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑16 Oct 2025 12:16 pmThe word on the Montreal board is that Kyrou was the main target for Maalox....they're pretty happy that it didn't happen.ManitobaBlues wrote: ↑16 Oct 2025 08:33 am Summer trade rumors: In July 2025, several hockey reporters claimed Kyrou was willing to waive his no-trade clause for a move to the Canadiens. So no, there is no source for that. A Montreal fan site made it up.

Re: Kyrou
What has been most likely from the start was that the proposed deal was Kyrou for Reinbacher and one or both sides got cold feet so they pivoted to Bolduc and Mailloux.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑16 Oct 2025 14:45 pmThere was a ton of smoke about a bigger deal in the works involving Kyrou and Mailloux's name was mentioned there. Top Sources stated like Seravelli stated that the Blues wanted to move on from Kyrou and that contract. This has been ongoing.bluetunehead wrote: ↑16 Oct 2025 15:31 pmThat website cited anonymous sources in their original story.ManitobaBlues wrote: ↑16 Oct 2025 08:33 am Summer trade rumors: In July 2025, several hockey reporters claimed Kyrou was willing to waive his no-trade clause for a move to the Canadiens. Neither Kyrou’s agent or Kyrou refuted (that I’m aware of) what was being reported being stated by Kyrou/agent.
It’s most likely true. If you were being treated poorly by your organization and always thought they were looking to get rid of you…I’m sure you’d be pumped to be there. Right?
