You sure do use the term "no one" an awful lot in your argument above. I would suggest that the best MLB talent evaluators would have made and did make smarter calls than Mo did. As I recall, Cecil had some questionable peripherals, Ozuna had some red flags, O'Neills work-out obsession would make him injury prone, Randy was highly-touted coming out of Cuba and given no real chance in STL (he shared the Shildt video), and many teams passed over Carlson in the draft.

We are trying to hire the best MLB evaluators today to make better decisions going forward.
Show me a ballplayer that doesn't have "red flags". Randy was moderately touted and that's a main reason why St Louis got him. He was a little too old for most teams and his performance in St Louis was on again off again. In fact, didn't Texas have him for a while? I'm not saying Mo is some super genius but I am saying that he's been demonized to an extreme when DeWitt is the one that decides who is signed or not.
Mo was arrogant, stubborn and lazy. Full stop.
You have absolutely no idea if Mo was lazy or not. Stop pretending like you do.
Even you said at the end of the miserable 2022 season that he lost his fire. Now here you’re back tracking

You lie a lot
Boy, Banner, you sure are brave calling someone a liar on an anonymous forum. Tough guy pounding those keys.
I notice you didn’t dispute it. Just got offended and embarrassed that it was put out to the public. Which means I am correct.
Sorry, Banner, but I’m not a liar. And I truly can’t think of a bigger waste of time than calling someone a liar that you don’t even know - on an anonymous baseball forum. Seriously, don’t you have anything better to do today?
You still aren’t disputing what I said. Just avoiding the main point that was made as you have no defense to it and responding only to something insignificant from my post.

So not only do you lie a lot but you also display traits of narcissistic behavior
More insults, Banner? Hiding behind your screen and keyboard like a little pansy? What a cute little guy you are.
The irony here is hilarious. I called you no names yet here you are name calling

And We are on an Internet forum, what would you like me to do……drive to your nursing home and say things to you directly? What else are my options?

You also are still avoiding my main point. Which is why no matter what you say from here I still win
Oh, I get it now with you, Banner. It's a matter of "I win". Sorry, not interested in playing. It's not a contest. It's supposed to be a fan friendly Cardinal forum. Let's try to keep it that way. Okay?
Don’t try to be the voice of reason now, old man. You started with the name calling because you were embarrassed about getting called out. You’re not getting out of it that easy.

You’d think that with how geriatric you are you’d be able to talk like an adult. But instead you routinely act like an immature, bitter child.

All you do is argue with people who do not see the world as you do.
Wow, Rojo. You probably need to check your priorities if you chastise me, but approve of the disgusting post by Banner.
Take some time off. Cool down and stop embarrassing yourself. It’s just a sports posting board for goodness sakes. Do what you’ve told us to do for years and stop with the juvie name calling, sport.
What a little person you are, Banner. First you post an incredibly disgusting post, and then you follow it up with more insults. I sincerely hope you don’t pull this kind of stuff in the real world. It would backfire on you. But don’t worry, you’re safe from the real world banging on those little keys.

Good advice for someone who is completely obsessed with certain posters, any thread critical of Mozo the Clown, and is now the biggest hypocrite on CT...which has been confirmed by several posters...it's sad and pathetic to watch this behavior on an anonymous forum.

This is one of the reasons, combined w/him hopefully making some solid trades that adds to the system & big league roster as well as some smart (low cost) free agent moves I think this "re-build" could happen a lot, lot quicker than some think.

I still don't see this being a three-four year, 90 loss process.

This winter is going to be fun, can't wait for the roster makeover to begin.
 what are you rooting for more of the same we got with Mo?
Not very bright if you equate Bloom w/Mo.
“I still don't see this being a three-four year, 90 loss process.”

What do you see?
A much smarter, motivated POBO who's made some really smart trades (re: TGKS, N. Piveta, W. Abreu) and a minor league system that's been repaired.

Trust me juan, he's no Mo....TG!

True, SB, several days ago when someone was attacking me and wishing me a “chitty evening like with my adult diapers”. You don’t go along with that stuff, do you Dawg? But it’s now several days later and time to move forward and away from that junk. Have a good day today.

Rojo Johnson wrote: 11 Oct 2025 08:47 am Wow, Cranny. Calling posters names. Something you have railed against for years. Very hypocritical behavior on your part. I think it’s time for you to stop posting for awhile and see if you can regain your self respect. You are scraping the bottom of the barrel and really are not adding anything meaningful to the forum.
You guys have turned this into an unreadable thread with your bickering. The thread title is an interesting one. Talk baseball please.
Excellent advice but you can review the back and forth and see there is always one poster who argues and name calls several others and has to have the last word. .and then whines that they are the victim.

Not on this end, SB.
You made mention of someone being a pansy. I’d say your knee deep in the hoopla.
True, SB, several days ago when someone was attacking me and wishing me a “chitty evening like with my adult diapers”. You don’t go along with that stuff, do you Dawg? But it’s now several days later and time to move forward and away from that junk. Have a good day today.
The only problem with that story is you called Banner a "pansy" BEFORE the "chitty evening" comment. If anyone was responding to a personal insult or attack in this particular instance, it was Banner, not you. You were already warmed up and dishing it out. Then you proceeded to assail him for posts that he didn't even write.

But as usual, someone/everyone else is to blame, and you are just an innocent victim "defending" yourself.

I agree. That’s a bad wish towards you. The trick is not to get into that level of discussion.

Sage advice, SB. Thank you.

Apparently I was correct...I really hope they have someone in their life that would intervene and encourage them to get help...sad and pathetic!

Bloom Cerfolio and Larry Day have done a lot already to improve the organization for the long term.
The Pierpont hire to run the pitching side seems quite positive too.

In the article linked, Bloom during his sitdown with Cardinal writers said , 'I don't think any of you would have asked me about our 2022 No .2 pick Brycen Mautz ... Pierpont told Bloom last spring as they observed the kid in spring training , 'That kid is good !' Mautz went on to pitch well this year in Double A finishing 8-3 in 25 starts with a 2.98 ERA He started and won the Texas League title game for Springfield this year. Looks to pitch at Memphis in 2026 . Keep an eye out for him . Sounds to me like Pierpont has a good eye for pitching talent.

I think I'll reserve judgement until I actually see games played next year. This window dressing (bleep) might be something or it might be nothing. If it worked like that he wouldn't have gotten fired in Boston.
Doubt if seeing games next year will give you much insight to what Cerfolio can do for the Cardinals rebuild long term. If he does for the Cardinals what he did with the Guardians, the Cardinals may be on the right track to be a much better team long term.

You may want to read more on his background and what he did with the Guardians. https://www.ksdk.com/article/sports/mlb ... d360e96b45
When's the last time Cleveland made the WS?
2016. Cleveland lost Game 7 to the Cubbies. Came real close.

One helluva lot better than our moribund Cardinals who are 3-12 in playoff games since then, and only advancing past the Wild Card Round once.

Agree. Not up to Cardinal standards. Hope the system comes on strong. Springfield sure had a great season this year.
