I've been trying hard to simply ignore posters with bad intentions toward me. Including craviduce. But I had to respond to craviduce's blatant lies. For some reason, despite all the good contributions he makes to CT. He insists on trying to discredit me. Shameful behavior. And I'll never again respond to that crazy New Yorker. He's plain looneytunes.
Craviduce is a great poster and should never get in the weeds criticizing another poster. He's too good for that. Doesn't need to lower himself. NY is a different breed. He's a "look at me" "put down others" contrarian.
I'll admit craviduce contributes a lot to this forum. But he does lower himself, for some reason, by insisting on ridiculing me. I can deal with posters with respectful disagreement. But I have no use for anybody that stoops to malicious lies.

Ok....I agree that Burleson is better suited to hit 6th(certainly vs LH pitching) possibly 5th vs RH pitching but I think some of you are being a bit rough on him.
Now....IF IF IF he continues making progress at the plate as he did this season we might have something??

No need to be a “Shady historian,” it’s easy to remember the things you’ve said because they’re usually galactically stupid and you repeat them a thousand times.
It's a shame he's back to calling people names. After his goal posts can't move anymore, he goes low. I thought his involuntary vacation did he some good, but that's gone now.
Sigh.
What a sad little troll.
I like how he tries to have it both ways: apparently, he’s insisting you have to archive everything he’s ever posted in order to “prove” he said/wrote something from more than 3 months ago, but if you actually do pull up his old quotes/posts he says you’re “obsessed” with him or you’re a “Shady historian.”
He’s a narcissistic and sadistic psychopath.
That's a very heavy accusation, NY. A serious charge. Do you always want to put other posters down in such a harsh manner, by personally attacking them?
you're confusing, Cranny....you're back to defending Shady/Maple...a few months ago you attacked him. It was very entertaining to watch you eat your own.
Oh...why did you never condemn Shady/Maple's racist associations and/or other trollish activities?
Has nothing to do with that, Craviduce. I'm not a Shady fan. But NY always seems to show up with a "smarter than thou" attitude. And no matter what Shady has done, calling him "sadistic psychopath" is off the charts nasty. I'm sure you agree with that. It's uncalled for.
crassly puts down other posters.
Showing up with a “smarter than thou attitude”? Wow, Cranny—coming from you, that’s about as rich as it gets.
But by all means, carry on with your notorious condescending lectures to other posters about how they can’t intelligently comment on various topics because they don’t have your (alleged) resume, experience, credentials, etc.
Shady has a fan boy?....and the front office (donkey) kisser needs a new buddy?...Baghdad Bob always trolling?

Thanks for your usual unsolicited arrogant, pretentious, condescending, presumptuous, and sanctimonious lecture, Cranpot.
Perhaps you'll eventually come up with an answer to the question of how it is that you're able to respond and even directly quote-reply to posts by people you claim to have on your Foe List.

You might be a good guy in the real world, NY. We’ll never know. But your insults on here are counter productive and a total waste of time. We both have much better things to do.
I bid you and your little trolling partner adieu. The last you both will hear from me. Best for everyone involved.

I don't have a "partner" and I'm not a "troll." And for the record, I have never referred to you by any of the names that he has used (or any names at all, for that matter), nor have I ever endorsed his posts in any way. But you already knew that.
It's just another example of your profound disingenuousness and bad faith: you try to lump everyone who is critical of you into one bucket, thereby eliding and evading the actual substance of the specific criticisms and giving yourself a free pass from any introspection or responsibility for your own behavior. You're just an "innocent victim defending yourself from 'attacks'." Meanwhile, you're busy dishing it out on here on a daily basis. If anyone here is a troll, Cranny, it's you.

The best Cardinal player the past two seasons has been Burly...so you trade him while keeping Nootbaar or Walker you come off looking like a dink...Bloom ain't no dink. Bloom needs a Herzog 1980 style purge of most of this active roster.

Burleson, Donovan and Wetherholt. 50/50 chance on all three, maybe. 60/40 on two. And 70/30 on at least one.
Isn't it amazing that there was only one hitter in the entire National League that hit .300 or better this season? One.
And in the top ten batting averages in the league, Burleson was ranked 6th and Donovan 9th. So adding JJ to the mix, having 3 in the top 10 some day may be a distinct possibility. I would count out Herrera either.
I don't think we can lower the mound any further.

Maybe. But my issue is- where and who are the new guys.
The pool of ML position players is about 390 ish. 30 teams.
That’s a very small pool to deal with when 95 percent are contracted. I don’t see any thing much better than we got.

Burly hasn't been the best player. 1 tool. One. He is not the best player on a bad team. Winn Donovan Contreras Herrera. All better players.

Burleson will likely be back in the top ten in BA in '26. However, he needs to hit for more power to be an All Star.
considering his positional limitations he would have to be a 30 hr guy to be an all star. Or be hitting .320 plus at the all star break. The 30 HR is not within his capability, but i do think he could hit 300-320 for half a season possibly.
"The 30 HR is not within his capability". Not sure if you meant 30 HRs by the All Star break. Which would be pretty tough for anybody. But Burleson is capable of having a 30 HR season. However, he may have to increase his strikeout rate to accomplish that.
I meant he's not shown to this point he's capable of a 30 home run season. And no metric shows that he can. I think he's a 20-24 home run max player
