Let's face it, this team is hapless. Can't it for average or power, slow afoot, poor baserunners, and we are short on pitching. Other than that,we're pretty good.

Ryder Cup on NBC.
although USA is sucking badly
Thanks, but I can't stand golf. I'd rather watch Oli masterfully manage his stinky bullpen.

Some think we’re just a couple starters away from contention.
They’re wrong.

Whatashame wrote: 27 Sep 2025 14:42 pm That’s ridiculous!! How is Busch allowed to wear us out like this. Hitting close to .500 against us this year with now 9 HRs. Someone put him on his backside. He just camps in the batters box and wails away.
They just don't do that anymore. I admit I thought the same thing. I remember Curt Simmons pitching for the Cubs against the Cards in his last season (may have been his last mlb game) pitching to eight batters and not getting any outs. But he knocked down every Cardinal batter and some twice. They took him out after 8 hitters with no outs yet. They would have kicked him out nowadays. That being said, they could make him move his feet and get away with it. They just don't.

MIDMO……I’m not advocating for a head hunting venture but we have to make him a little more uncomfortable at the plate. He’s standing there and teeing off. It doesn’t happen today enough but maybe it should.
+100

It’s like watching a minor league team. We are just outclassed with our play. We don’t know the strike zone, we give away outs with ridiculous baserunning. No matter how much we scratch and claw, we are our own worst enemy.

Do they work for the Cards organization? There is absolutely no way this team can compete with Noot, Gorman, Walker, Scott, Crooks, and Church in your lineup.

The same collection of know nothings that have been posting here for years and we know who they are.

They should find another forum. Maybe something they actually have a clue with.

Walker better late than never. Twenty more like that this year would have been helpful this season.
