Yes, I know. He moved up several levels in his first pro season, looks like a very good pick so far.
And a very nice win tonight by the guys!

That was fun. Looking forward to tomorrow evening.

How did they get rid of the drone? I didn’t hear what the announcer said about it.

That was a fun game....big bummer with the 3 Run HR...I thought they might be cooked, but then they clawed their way back over 2 innings...some big triples and "right place, right time" singles on drawn in infields got them the lead.

Velez was huge tonight, just like he's been all year long. Burns showed he belongs in the back end of the BP.

Those two will get tomorrow night off...probably....Patrick Anderson NEVER allows a BP arm to go back-to-back nights...he brought that with him from Peoria, and it's held all season with Springfield. He'll ride his arms hard each night, but never will they appear the next game. Cards have Watson, Love and Gastelum well rested. Hayes did well for Springfield in the 2nd half, he can be used as well. I'd stay away from Nunez and Clemente, tbh...too wild. Zane Mills is a ??? each appearance....some good, some bad.

Let's pray that Mautz can go 6-7 IP and the offense scores 8 runs!!!

Thanks to everyone who hung out here this year...1 more game...let's get a Championship!!!

it went away ....it went high in the air over one of the lights in the OF....and it disappeared.

It didn't like a baseball being thrown at it.

It will be interesting to see if he is willing to deviate from that approach with the bullpen in the last game of the season.

Congrats to the Springfield Cardinals. Rivas was once not long ago listed as a Cardinals top 30 prospect. I don't see him listed on the top 30 currently. Maybe it's only due to a few of the recent draftees that signed?

I was starting to get quite high on Rivas, a solid fielding Shortstop who could hit .300 is a lot to like! Unfortunately, this season he has mostly forgotten how to hit!

he's never hit over .670 OPS in a single year. He's the best glove in the system, but the bat never caught up. I'm hoping he can make it to AAA next year, but I'm not too confident. If he stays with the Cards next year, I think he'll be in for his 3rd year of AA. He's only 22 now, turns 23 in March. Maybe the bat will come? But I think he is what he is...capable of putting the ball in play to the opposite field for a single...or selling out for the HR to LF. Yes, he sold out on the pull swing this year, Career high in K's at 135 this season. Career high in HR this season at 10.
