Just as a box score scout this week but Chase Davis is getting base hits every night.

Do you think he's sacrificing some power to try and just hit the ball with more control and consistency?

no...he's still hitting the ball on the ground...only difference is the ball is finding holes. That's better than 4 months of pounding it into the ground and not finding holes...which he did this season....it's still an issue.

they had bad innings at the worst time of their outings...post 75 pitch mark. That's difficult to turn back from. Mathews was given a bit more rope than Henderson....I think 3 more batters.

I hate to toss this on them, but they can't exit first round again...they set a franchise record last year, with arguably a better hitting team (Crooks, Church, Torres, Bernal, Davis), and they still choked to an inferior Arkansas team. This iteration is more consistent, especially in the pitching department....anything less than a Championship is a losing season, imo.
