First time since 1970 that the Reds have scored nine or more in consecutive games and lost both. Ouch!

Soderstrom must have lost it in the lights.
WC has benefited tonight by questionable defense
2 hits, 4 RBI as a result of 2 routine plays being botched - and just imagine how that helps his fictitious 'WAR" value.

As I alone repeatedly stated and never wavered, all that was ever needed is consistent playing time.

If his back can handle it, I think he's emerging into a 3-4 WAR player.

The walks help, but man those bad stretches are brutal.

Sounds about right. He was at 2.9 career fWAR before today. He could very well make it to 3 to 4 fWAR by the end of his career.

It all evens out. Contreras has been robbed of hits also by great plays, as do all hitters.

Two wins in a row.

If they can extend this winning streak to 36 games, they will be the World Champs.

:P

Well, 21 games left -- but none against any more ne'er do wells. All 21 against teams at .500 or above as of now. 12 on the road, 9 at home. And the red-hot Giants have passed them by 1.5 games by actually being able to sweep the Rockies. 6 of the 21 games are against those Giants. 6 against the Brewers as well.
