Why would you hope for a stiff penalty for one of our best players? That seems weird.Lightning Rod wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 22:01 pmHopefully the punishment is stiff.TopofthePerch wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 21:59 pmNot defending just not ready to crucify someone for losing their cool because it happens. He will obviously get whatever penalties and deserve them for his actions.mutigers1987 wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 21:35 pmNice job, defending the indefensible. Pretty rich, a toolbox calling anyone else a tool.TopofthePerch wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 21:28 pmHe plays with a lot of emotion and clearly lets it get the best of him but at least he has it. All I hear is fans cry about how the players show no passion. Like you never get upset and lose your coolfans are such tools

You act like he chucked his bat halfway across the field. It wasn't that big of a toss. It bumped into Brandt. He's fine. Let's not make a major case about it. I've seen much worse.hmoss859 wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 22:13 pmIt doesn’t matter what was said dude, Contreas crossed a line you don’t cross, throwing a bat is tabooHoosier59 wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 22:11 pm After watching the replay, Willson asked the umpire why he threw him out of the game. He was fairly calm until the umpire told Willson his reason. You could read Wilson’s lips as he said, “ I never said that” , umpire, “Yes you Did” , Willson, now adamantly, “ I never said that” then the umpire replies again and Willson goes berserk! So, whatever the umpire said is what really fired him up. It must have been pretty bad, whatever the umpire said, but we’ll never know what that was. We’ll also never know if he is disciplined for it.
He deserves whatever punishment the league throws at him
Any good manager stands up for his player. Not a Marmol fan, but nothing wrong here. Most elections are theater. Part of the game. Frankly, we need more of this back in the game!Melville wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 22:15 pmThe Marmot is an idiot.Red7 wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 22:08 pmIt certainly was. It’s why he got dumped so quickly. It’s one thing to beef on a borderline or even a missed call, but down cock and center? Nope. Oli getting dumped was just as stupid. It’s one thing to have you player’s back, but to keep it up until you get dumped is just dumb.
Every time he gets tossed it is 100% contrived theatre.
There is nothing real about any of his disputes with umpires.
All show.
The umpire told Contereas that he said "F off". Contreras saod that he didn't say that. When the umpire again said he did, he went nuts.Melville wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 22:19 pm"...whatever the umpire said is what really fired him up. Nonsense.
The umpire said nothing inappropriate.
He may or may not have misheard Contreras - but he said nothing "pretty bad".
Correct. It really wasn't that big of a deal.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 01:42 amHe did not. It was a toss in the direction of the umpire and others. He did not throw the bat directly at anyone. And there was very little force behind it. Had Brown been paying attention, he doesn't get hit.Melville wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 22:22 pmContreras threw it at an umpire.TopofthePerch wrote: ↑25 Aug 2025 22:16 pmWell Victor Robles got ten and he deliberately threw the bat towards the pitcher. So I can't see it being more than that.
Big difference.
He also threw his helmet and a bucket.
That's not defending the action. But I'm not going to go dramatically overboard like you. Geez

OMG what a snowflake, guy!
45, my god you are turning soft! He flipped out on an ump after getting tossed for something he didn't even say. Big deal. Nothing to see here. Find some better material to troll with! Lol45s wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 09:36 am The club has a choice to make..
