This hothead, tossed his bat point blank at someone, could have caused severe injury. DFA him, Not the Cardinal way.

Contreras actions were not the sign of leadership. After two years people still can't spell is name correctly.

lolololol

The Cardinal Way? What is the "Cardinal Way"?

Is it the Mo way? The way where we don't accept players who may rock the boat or ruffle feathers? The way where we view role-playing average ball players as foundational stars because they fit the mold that we want our daughters to date?

So sick of this fabricated Cardinal Way (bleep).

Sick of fair weather fans like you, not your way get out and find a team that fits you better. Hes a disgrace, don't matter who the player is. Someone acts like that should be fired. That's what we see on the field, couldn't imagine how he acts off the field.
If you threw fries at your boss at point blank range, you would be canned. PERIOD.

He plays with a lot of emotion and clearly lets it get the best of him but at least he has it. All I hear is fans cry about how the players show no passion. Like you never get upset and lose your cool 🙄 fans are such tools
Nice job, defending the indefensible. Pretty rich, a toolbox calling anyone else a tool. 🤡 🔨🪛🔧
Not defending just not ready to crucify someone for losing their cool because it happens. He will obviously get whatever penalties and deserve them for his actions.
Hopefully the punishment is stiff.
Why would you hope for a stiff penalty for one of our best players? That seems weird.

So, whatever the umpire said is what really fired him up. It must have been pretty bad, whatever the umpire said, but we’ll never know what that was. We’ll also never know if he is disciplined for it.
It doesn’t matter what was said dude, Contreas crossed a line you don’t cross, throwing a bat is taboo

He deserves whatever punishment the league throws at him
You act like he chucked his bat halfway across the field. It wasn't that big of a toss. It bumped into Brandt. He's fine. Let's not make a major case about it. I've seen much worse.

And for the record, he asked the umpire "what did I say?" The umpire said "you said to F off". He said "I didn’t say that". Ump said "You told me to F off". Contreras then went nuts and said "now I'm telling you to F off. Now I said F off."

Strike zone was very consistent - and Contreras had nothing to complain about.
Clearly a strike.
It certainly was. It’s why he got dumped so quickly. It’s one thing to beef on a borderline or even a missed call, but down cock and center? Nope. Oli getting dumped was just as stupid. It’s one thing to have you player’s back, but to keep it up until you get dumped is just dumb.
The Marmot is an idiot.
Every time he gets tossed it is 100% contrived theatre.
There is nothing real about any of his disputes with umpires.
All show.
Any good manager stands up for his player. Not a Marmol fan, but nothing wrong here. Most elections are theater. Part of the game. Frankly, we need more of this back in the game!

"...whatever the umpire said is what really fired him up. It must have been pretty bad...."
Nonsense.
The umpire said nothing inappropriate.
He may or may not have misheard Contreras - but he said nothing "pretty bad".
The umpire told Contereas that he said "F off". Contreras saod that he didn't say that. When the umpire again said he did, he went nuts.

The club has a choice to make..

Deal with him harshly, and gain the respect of many around the country

Or

Treat him with kid gloves and lose the respect of many around the country

Your serve Mr. Bloom.

(Saw coverage of the incident on the cable news outlets this morning…..very critical)

Well Victor Robles got ten and he deliberately threw the bat towards the pitcher. So I can't see it being more than that.
Contreras threw it at an umpire.
Big difference.
He also threw his helmet and a bucket.
He did not. It was a toss in the direction of the umpire and others. He did not throw the bat directly at anyone. And there was very little force behind it. Had Brown been paying attention, he doesn't get hit.

That's not defending the action. But I'm not going to go dramatically overboard like you. Geez
Correct. It really wasn't that big of a deal.

45, my god you are turning soft! He flipped out on an ump after getting tossed for something he didn't even say. Big deal. Nothing to see here. Find some better material to troll with! Lol
