Team needs a major dose of plate discipline.
Not sure what Brown can do as a coach?
Gil struggling with command.
Walks his second batter.
Walker ahead 1-0 and swings at at a garbage pitch and weakly hits into a DP.
Not smart.
Gorman and Scott constantly do the same thing!
I’d say it’s an inexperience issue but Arenado and Contreras are just as bad.

Some guy on LinkedIn claiming to be the Cardinals' "Run Creation Coach".

pretty sadChitownredbird wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 20:02 pm So in each of the first 2 innings, a Cardinal hitter walks and the next batter swings at the first pitch and hits into a DP. Against Gil who led the league in BBs last year. Now that’s baseball acumen.

Scouty. Contrary to your belief and negativity, there is a lot of knowledge on this forum. It was just a quick thought. I truly wouldn't be surprised if someone actually knew the answer. Do you ever contribute to this forum? Who hurt you in the past? Mother? Father? Boyfriend? You can P.M. me if you just need to talk. Ok friend.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 20:02 pmGee, if only there was a way to look this up? If only there was some resources you could access, on the same way you posted, and that could give you the answer.slimjay63801 wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 19:47 pm Question, and i do not know the answer. Just wondering if anyone else does. How many teams don't have a 20 homer guy yet? How many are stuck with one guy with 15?

Pirates, Giants, White Sox, Reds, Rangers, and Cardinals do not have any player with 20 or more homers yet.slimjay63801 wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 19:47 pm Question, and i do not know the answer. Pallante is on pace to throw 87 balls (if he can manage to throw a 207-pitch complete game).

So, one team with a record over .500? That says a lot...12xu wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 20:08 pmPirates, Giants, White Sox, Reds, Rangers, and Cardinals do not have any player with 20 or more homers yet.slimjay63801 wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 19:47 pm Question, and i do not know the answer. ...Good game so far... for Pallante. Only 4 runs on 4 hits and 69 pitches thru 3 innings...

I’ve said many times that since I don’t have inside info on the coaching of this team I can only speculate based on watching the games.Baseball Savant wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 20:07 pmThere is no accountability at all and it showsCusecards wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 20:05 pm Team needs a major dose of plate discipline.

Best guess....lack of leadership and basic fundamentals seem apparent.
Changes coming?

Cards on pace for nine double plays in one game. We might be watching history tonight!

That sucked couldn’t hit it much harder than Scott did there but it’s a double play
