Might as well laugh about it, they won't be doing much better for a while. I'm done getting mad about it. More fun to use some humor.butsir01 wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 21:54 pmI got quite a chuckle out of that’n.MIDMOBIRDTWO wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 21:52 pmCards been using putters in the long drive contest, lot of swing and miss and taking strike three.

Yep, but at times Kelly, Portageville, Notre Dame, Advance, Puxico, Oran, Kennett are decent too. East Prairie on some occasions was ok. I could name several more, but you know the history down there.slimjay63801 wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 21:51 pmBasketball in the Bootheel is huge. Charleston, Scott County Central and Sikeston as of late. Boys can Ball around here, for sure.MIDMOBIRDTWO wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 21:48 pmYep. The small town PO is not the problem. The big processing places operate about as efficiently as the Cards offense.slimjay63801 wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 21:44 pmI get it. USPS has been failing horribly. Can't get anyone to work and it's been bad for a few years now. I wouldn't blame anyone for going FED EX or UPS. It's the big city processing plants that are the biggest problem. We deal what we get around here in Southeast Missouri but we can't deliver what doesnt get to us.MIDMOBIRDTWO wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 21:39 pmPretty cool! Those small town post offices are the last bastion of federal honesty. I never trusted the big places post offices. Houston, Dallas, Kansas City, ST. Louis, Chicago, are places that I had much trouble getting stuff to the shipping point. Lost the most inventory in Houston for some reason. Went to FEDEX and that solved the problem.slimjay63801 wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 21:33 pm I have about 30 to 40 minutes left in me. Gotta get up and go to work in the morning. East Prairie, MO Post Office. James Naile country! Lol! I have to watch at least 3 innings but I can't stay up and watch it all. (drat) Donnie!!!

Good point. Some of those towns haven't had football for very long if at all. Basketball, baseball and track was all they had for a long time. Bell City has had some great athletes also. It's pretty cool to follow. Most of these towns around here have 3000 people or less. Pretty impressive.MIDMOBIRDTWO wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 22:00 pmYep, but at times Kelly, Portageville, Notre Dame, Advance, Puxico, Oran, Kennett are decent too. East Prairie on some occasions was ok. Dodgers were dead last in MLB in runs scored since Muncy injury. I had no idea they were that bad.

when will the big regression hit for Freeman? I think he's HOFer for sure, too. I'm just wondering if he gets to 3000 Hits? We know the fall-off is going to eventually come. He has 4 or 5 more seasons left in him? Does he have 650 hits in him?slimjay63801 wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025 22:09 pmHe is a beast. Would've been nice to see him in a Cards jersey at some point. HOFer for sure.

Lots of aging players for LAD: 21 players 30 or over.
38 Yates'
37 Kershaw, Treinan
36 Rojas
35 Freeman
34 Muncy
33 K Hernandez, Stewart
32 Betts, T Hernandez, Snell, Conforto
31 Banda, Glasnow, Gonsolin
30 Ohtani, Scott, Phillips, Call, Smith, Edman
They will have to get out the checkbook soon and buy the best players from other teams again.
