They're sure going to have to adjust the prospect rankings. Baez is not on the Cardinals top 30 list.
Yea, he had fallen out. I’d have to believe his play has gotten himself back in the back end of the top 10. Although our 5th pick will likely also be in that mix, too. This team’s prospect depth looks a lot better now than pre-season.

and a few middling prospects, including Nathan Church should get into the Top 15, if not Top 10. And the next few weeks should be interesting for Padilla. He's hitting a bit better now, and is swiping every single base that's free. BA and MLBpipeline love a very young SS that is fast, great glove, good arm, and that starts to show some hitting progress...they love that type of prospect more than any other. I think he'll rank Top 4, if not Top 3 in our organization when the ratings adjustments come out Post Draft....if he continues to improve on the hitting.

I also look for Honeyman to move up a little bit if he can stay healthy. Deniel Ortiz hits EVERYTHING hard, he has to crack the Top 30, imo. Rodriguez will land Top 8, I believe. Gazdar is a surprise hitter for Peoria. Nothing but Singles for him, but that hit tool has to be 60...if they give an honest grade for him.

As for the other way around.... Hjerpe will leave the Top 10, imo.

it has been a long time since we had a slew of 40/45 grade prospects in the system....legit ones. We've been top heavy before with nothing behind them...IE: Gorman, Walker, Burleson days a few years back. Having Mathews, JJ, Bernal, Roby, Hence with a good group behind them is a plus-plus, imo

Also...Hunter from the DSL...really worth a good watch, imo. Can't wait to hear if the BA DSL scouts have anything on him

Yea, I could probably see Deniel Ortiz being in the 20ish range. Which would be great for a 16th round pick a year ago. I didn’t realize he had so many steals, too. Stole his 16th today.

I’ll be very curious how mid season updates will look. Looking at MLB I would think McGreevy will be graduated at some point. And Baez may replace Davis in the top 10. Would think Davis calls a bit.

And yea Kenley Hunter is a good one, too. If we ever get to see Strop play again he may have a spot in the top 30, too.

Also Henderson too! I wonder where he will be.

I forgot Davis on the drop part. It's good that our drops are overshadowed by the risers.

Gastelum will likely get some love, too

Agreed! And Henderson too! He was 25th preseason by MLB. Would think he’d be somewhere around 10-15 now.

Honeyman's 1st HR with Peoria this season...I hope he can stay healthy. Good CF if he can stay on the field. 2023 3rd round pick.
