Every time Nootbar does something good I think of Melville's absurd take on him as an all-around ballplayer.

Bad14 wrote: 09 May 2025 18:39 pm Send Walker down. Bring up Saggesse. Move Donovan to left and Noot to right. This is ridiculous.
That’s probably the logical move, but how long do they wait? Because if they send them down again, I think he’s cooked. And his trade value is close to zero right now.
Another Faberge egg hung onto for too long.
Until he hits. It has to be demoralizing to players who want to win now that the org isn't doing what they easily could to help them win.
I think his teammates understand and have some empathy for him and the FO made it very clear that this was going to be a long leash for him and Gorman.
I don't doubt they have empathy but this isn't doing anything to build his confidence either. I like the kid but this is like watching someone slowly drown. Of course I'm being sarcastic.

Walker could use a "reset" at Memphis or Springfield. Bring Saggese back up to see if he can continue to hit, respectably, at the MLB level. Donovan and Barrero can cover in the outfield. Being in the race, they now need all the solid hitters in the lineup they can get.

I'm getting the game. Looks like for free, even. I am in the STL area. Where are you?

Neither Walker nor Gorman are getting sent down. This is what the runway season is about. If the FO does a complete reversal in everything they've said since last October, then shame on them.

There's nothing to prove at AAA. You might as well enjoy them trying to figure it out in the bigs.

The cardinals have 4 runs with timely hitting including fly balls with runners on third. Walker hasn't killed anything today demoralized anybody today. They are picking him up.

"There's nothing to prove at AAA". What exactly has Walker proved at AAA?

And a nice at bat by Walker for the fly ball and RBI. He laid off low outside pitch twice. One step at a time.
