He doesn't have to be great. With his D and his speed if he hits somewhat decently and takes some walks, he will solve our CF problem. While BA doesn't tell the whole story, a player has to hit for something. Bader could not hit lefthanders worth a (bleep) and overall, he rarely hit .250.
I have him on my fantasy team, so I like him, but I also am realistic enough to know his strengths. He's for SB and runs and anything else he gives is gravy.

The larger problem is that we do not have a dominant bat in the OF to carry the offense. Nootbar is having a solid start, and he is always great for getting on base, but he doesn't generally have a bat that can carry a team. He needs to be a complementary piece, not our main offensive weapon there.
