Burley had only 356 innings at 1b last year (38 starts), and the results weren't good (-3 DRS, which put him 31st among 41 players with more than 350 innings).
You're right that the options are slim, and they'll try some hack over there. Only a minor part of the frustration we'll feel in 2026.
I would put Gorman at 1B before Burly, but as much as I hope NG will hit, I'm not holding my breath. He and JW have a total lack of pitch recognition.

Goldy's. 1B being measured as it is, we need something though to compare beyond my eyes and memory.

20 HR's and 25 2B isn't enough for his profile, imo. In a
decent deal I'd move him keep Donnie as both bats become very similar in the whole 1 base at a
time offense and BD is versatile. Lets you split 1B with NG and IH.
The likely better glove goes to 3B with JJ, BD are someone behind him in the organization
has a glove to follow him.
Gorman with his -9 OAA at 3B mostly due to inaccurate throws isn't sustainable. 1B takes
that and his injury history and improves his situation a little.

He only started 15 games at 1b in 2024, with only 117 innings. He scored better in 2024 (+2 DRS; 1 OAA), but again, that's a short sample, and a +2 DRS doesn't even put you in the top 17. He went downhill with more (still not a lot of games) in 2025.
