Contreras wasn’t Pete Alonso level and gray wasn’t skubal level but you complained like crazy about them getting traded

It’s fine if that’s who he is but as someone else mentioned we will need 3-4 other true power bats in the lineup, which we don’t have. And we lost our HR leaders from both 2024 and 2025.

We aren’t going to truly become a top team with 9 average to slightly above average and sometimes hurt bats in our lineup. It takes a few elite bats And no holes.

And modern trend is for top power hitters to also be the top athlete on a team and play plus D position's like SS and CF. If we are trying to find elite power bats from other traditional positions the pools there are smaller than they used to be.

Yea but it’s silly to complain about Winn because he isn’t a generational player like Witt it’s crazy. I can see complaining about useless players like Gorman and walker but complaining about a gold glove shortstop is just strange. And again it’s weird to complain about Winn because he isn’t a generational talent destined for the HOF. I mean by that logic Donovan sucks because he’s not a generational player destined for the HOF but people are like we must keep him and build the team around him lol he has no power or speed

Well said...this kid is smart with a good head on his shoulders...he also has that extra drive to succeed that some don't show..the kid wants it...everything I've read about him is he's a lot like mookie Betts...in that he's just good at everything he does....hes a winning ball player as they say....he will continue to improve on offense...16 to 20 hrs...275 to .285 with gg defense...yes he's not Bobby Witt Jr ...but if his body holds up ...he will have a nice career...him and jj could be really fun to watch up the middle here really soon

And you think that is a top 5-10 SS and perineal all star potential? Or just a VG player? Asking because some on this site think he is a future superstar. To me a superstar is a future HOF caliber player
